Heritage Hill is a charming Bed & Breakfast centrally located in Waynesboro, Virginia. Located just 6 miles from where Skyline Drive connects with the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail, the 4,300 sq. ft colonial style house is situated perfectly on 7.7 acres.
Offering expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nearby rolling pastures our private acreage is located just inside the city limits, allowing easy access to the lovely town of Waynesboro all while enjoying a rural setting in the country at the same time.
My sister-in-law and I absolutely LOVED our stay in the Blue Room at Heritage Hill B&B! The house is comfortable, cozy, warm, and filled with antique and original touches that offered such a unique and pleasant stay. Dana and Scott were incredibly hospital and welcoming. Not to mention the incredible breakfast they served!! The house sits about 30 mins from some breweries we visited (Bold Rock & Devil's Backbone) and about 20 mins from Veritas Vineyard and Winery where we also spent some time!
The bed in the blue room is incredibly comfortable! Just note that the bed is very high off of the ground! Dana and Scott had a small step stool in the room next to the bed for this reason which I thought was a great touch.
I would definitely recommend this stay 🙂 Make sure you save some time for the awesome rope swing with beautiful views out front!
We would 100% recommend staying here during your trip to Waynesboro! Dana and her husband were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They provided information and suggestions regarding local restaurants/businesses. The room itself was beautifully decorated and very cozy. It also has a great view of the mountains. The cookies and breakfast were so delicious! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back and visit during another season.
Wonderful place and gracious host! The house and setting are gorgeous, and the room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and quite filling, and Dana was very friendly and accommodating (she asked about dietary restrictions and even mad us a special gluten free pastry!). We would love to return and definitely recommend visiting.
Dana was SO accommodating! The Blue Room at the Heritage Hill B&B was the perfect way to end our trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The B&B was only a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive to enter Shenandoah National Park. Before we even arrived Dana communicated with us about breakfast options. When we arrived Dana had a welcome treat for the both of us, if you're looking for the best chocolate chip cookie it resides at the Heritage Hill B&B!
The Blue Room was so thoughtfully decorated and provided everything we could have possibly needed! And the bathroom, the remodeled and heated floors were such a treat, we're currently planning how we can put heated floors in our bathroom.
Dana was so kind to coordinate when breakfast would be ready the next day as well as giving us some nearby favorite restaurants for dinner.
Breakfast the next morning was FANTASTIC! The attention to detail with the table spread and breakfast was not missed and breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately we only had a short time to talk with Dana and Scott and their sweet pups after breakfast before we had to be back on our way!
We hope we can come back and stay again! If you're in the area, or even have to drive a little out of the way, do stop and stay, you won't regret it!
We had a great stay in the Blue Room, which was lovely (the heated flooring in the bathroom was a nice touch!). Other highlights were the amazing breakfasts (missing those now!) and the neighborly, friendly banter with Dana and Scott (not to mention the tips, pointers and directions - thank you!). We highly recommend Heritage Hill Bed & Breakfast for anyone coming to the area. We'll be back for sure!!
STAY HERE! The hosts are INCREDIBLY thoughtful, communicating even prior to the stay to ensure your dietary needs/preferences are cared for. The home is gorgeous, with beautiful farm views and we really truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend and we hope to come back sometime!
We began our search for a place in 2016 when the last of our four children went off to college, and the moment we saw this beautiful house we knew right away it was the one for us. Not only did we fall in love with the house, we truly love everything about living here in the valley!
It’s a beautiful place to call home. We’ve spent the last few years renewing and remodeling to make the house more comfortable for our guests, and we have continued plans for the future as well.
